I am restricted by love

from things i might otherwise do.

because i am still in love with you.

You are not like a ball and chain

but certain restrictions remain

as if we’re together again.

Last night in our mutual dreams

something restricted me it seems

from asking, “Have you changed your mind

about God or the Great Spirit?”

In truth, i’m afraid to hear it.

Would i be able to bear it?

After my body also dies

your truth might make me realize

the real truth may be a surprise.
