In Gratitude

B4 i sleep or eat

there are prayers i repeat.

I do not say them by rote

or out loud so that others note.

This time i would like to say

i have had a happy day,

mainly as a result of

a growth of brotherly love.

Everywhere that i went

people displayed good intent.

If people keep getting better

i’d like to live forever.

The Great Spirit is why

i had rather live than die.
