Garbage Disposal

Does it matter what it means

that we are slaves to machines?

What if power disappears

with a buzzing in our ears?

As computers get more wise

something magic in us dies.

I may lose my dignity

when computers talk to me.

“Garbage in and garbage out”

is what computers may shout.

They may continue to cuss

because they depend on us.

They need us for their data.

That’s why people still matta.
