maybe ineffable

a divine intelligence

with a cosmic consciousness

is how we might define god

but that has left something out

love is what god is about

and perhaps is what god is

eternity is a true

definition of god too

wait a minute–i’m not through

with love and eternity

what happened to divinity?

i find it too worshipy

worship, rituals, and all

without love are much too small

as definitions of god
