Expectations

As the oceans rise

what can we expect?

For those of us now

eighty or above

not a lot of change.

For those much younger,

technology may

make lives much improved.

Men will learn to use

sun and wind energy.

Less time in labor

and more in learning

will bring them closer

to brotherly love

as their values change.

Possessions will be

far less important

in life’s balances.

Spiritual values

will replace such things.
