The cat seemed to be at play

but he had serious intent.

He was practicing that way

and that is where the kitty went.

Are we all practicing so far

to make a journey to a star?

Imagination is a dream

searching for our self-esteem.

Practice, practice, and one fine day

practice is no longer play.

After old age has caught us

we’ll know what practice taught us.

Old age is only a habit

we practice until we have it.
