spirits forget to die

memory is

a continuity of time

which is illusion

current memory

can be detached from distant past

which seems to endure

we remember

nothing–a name or current things

which has not been aged

the young mind

has elasticity which lasts

beyond the aging brain

confusion

names senile dementia

but more politely

i forget what it means to die

bodies can do it–but not i
