New Perceptions

I think most people

cannot learn to let go.

This means they are blocked

from new perceptions.

If eternity is not

easily understood

new conceptions cannot

cross this barrier.

If everything

must start or stop

the mind is in a trap

which is hard to unlock.

This is the hardest part:

Put the horse B4 the cart.

You cannot get anywhere

if the horse isn’t there.

An Eternal Dance

The tumbleweed

lets go of its roots,

propelled by the wind.

I am also rootless

when the spirit moves me

in imagination.

Unanchored by chains

of coy circumstance

my spirit rides the wind.

The gods are the winds

propelling us by chance

in an unending dance.
