If It Sounds Good ...

Some phrases which leap to mind

hide deep meanings of some kind

but smell of being obscure

which most people can’t endure.

I don’t know what muse sent them

but i will seldom print them.

Altho, often they sound good

and i think “Maybe i should.”

I read many poems like this

and wonder what the meaning is.

This stinks of dishonesty

but they often intrigue me.

Should i let the language flow

like ravens and bells from Poe?
