The Sixth Sense
As i lift my cup to drink,
dirty dishes in the sink,
i leave another chore undone
and i loiter and have more fun.
We are bound by some simple tasks
to the chores which our duty asks.
Can we possibly understand
what our own consciences demand?
There is an inner nagging voice
which tells us that we have no choice.
There isn’t any sound or sight
telling us our conscience is right.
It’s up to us to intuit
what is right, or wrong, and do it.
