The Pause Which Refreshes

The world which waits

while i am dreaming

is gathering strength

for another tomorrow.

Meanwhile, nightmares intrude,

diminishing my strength

for the forecast encounter.

And yet, i am refreshed.

As people like to say,

“Tomorrow is another day.”

Don’t disparage the night

but look forward to daylight.

Refreshment may prevail

for life is a fairy tale.
