Eliminating False Desires

Buddhism is philosophy.

That is what he meant it to be.

Some have made it a religion,

not understanding his vision.

At least that’s the way i see it.

I have a desire to free it

from religious worship and rites

and discover some new insights.

His disciples don’t seem to know

he was a philosopher though;

wearing holes in knees of their pants,

a mewling bunch of sycophants.

I don’t want to worship the man

but understand him, and i can.
