A Musical Attitude

We have insisted many years

we hear the music of the spheres

while we hear an eternal song

most people scorn but they are wrong.

It always was, is now, and will be

without beginning or end for me.

When time encounters circumstance

we hear music to which we dance.

There is an attitude we bring

which gives us a reason to sing.

Music is the way we hear it

if we have an upbeat spirit.

We know that some sad things emerge

whenever our song is a dirge.
