Happy Halloween?

Religions are nothing but memes,

second-hand convictions it seems.

They are not the absolute truth

though accompanied by forsooth.

Forsooth is no longer in style,

and hasn’t been heard in a while.

Religions don’t come with our genes

and no one is sure what that means.

They’re only something we’re taught

and logically come to naught.

That doesn’t mean that “God is dead,”

as some guy named Dawkins has said.

To those of us who’re enlightened,

our gods are not even frightened.
