The Salt of the Earth

Is Our Planet likely to die

as a homeland for you and i?

Or will we become extinct first?

Perhaps we will all die of thirst.

If we search dead planets like Mars

we find that the moisture is sparse.

So whose extinction lies ahead

and which will be the first one dead?

Perhaps it may not seem so strange

for the moisture content to change

if we pollute the atmosphere

so life is impossible here.

But, it may not be our fault

that Earth’s water has become salt.
