Roads No Longer Taken
I am a spokesman for the aged
where a war against time is waged;
while helping to erase the tears
as disability appears.
The golden years we awaited
are not as anticipated
unless we can make up our mind
that getting old has been maligned.
Some things about being mature
are just a lot of bull manure.
I am telling it as it is
so we have to adapt to this:
We can still wish upon a star
but should no longer drive a car.
