Hope Still Remains

The holy land is a picture of hell

which has a terrible story to tell.

Its grim tale is the story of

the failure of brotherly love.

The picture Jesus tried to paint

was like a hope but now it’s faint.

It seems modern men have destroyed

paradise we could have enjoyed.

But all is not lost, remember,

love remains a glowing ember

if all of us will only do

the things which Jesus told us to.

We have to love our enemy

and may it all begin with me.
