Gods or Whatever

There are no unmerciful gods

carelessly flinging lightning rods.

They are indifferent for sure

but not careless or immature.

Indifferent means that they must

be indiscriminate and just.

They have to have benign intent

with no rewards or punishment.

But somehow it has seemed to me

they have helped me tremendously.

I know someone is on my side

for i am having a free ride.

Whether it is the gods or not

i appreciate it a lot.
