Was there a garden of innocence

from which our ancestors escaped?

There is very little evidence

that our virgin mother was raped.

Does such a garden still exist

and is such naivety missed?

Perhaps there is another place

with an innocent human race.

Maybe the devil is still there.

If that’s so, it doesn’t seem fair.

But i think it’s better to know

where in the hell he ought to go.

Yet, after all is said and done,

eating apples is lots of fun.
