Blackbirds in a Pie

The world seems to be full of crows.

Whether they dream, nobody knows,

while we humans are full of dreams,

more asleep than awake it seems.

The crows seem to be having fun,

and perhaps more than anyone.

My dreams i am happy to keep;

not always when i am asleep.

Crows are too busy for dreaming

while we are more relaxed seeming.

Our daytime dreams are full of hope,

or nightmares with which we can cope.

Crows are a sociable bunch

I think i’ll have a few for lunch.
