Thank Gods but Why Me?

Rain also falls on the unjust

for gods do whatever they must.

Indifferent as they must be,

these gods are always good to me.

I can’t believe it is good luck,

not being where lightnng has struck.

I believe that i have been spared

because indifferent gods cared.

Do the gods love the sinners more

since they are so hard to ignore?

or do they reward the needy

and tend to ignore the greedy?

Perhaps the gods are having fun,

and they are not the only one.
