So Criticize

I cannot judge eternity

or believe in the end of time.

I only write what comes to me

and sometimes it may come in rhyme.

I have very little regard

for what others call avant garde.

I somehow think it immature

to try to make meaning obscure.

So if my poetry seems trite

as i am always afraid it might,

i am always trying to do

poems which will appeal to you.

If you don't like them tell me why

and i'll see if i can comply.
