I Always Doubted Santa Klaus
In childhood i was not naive
and found some things hard to believe.
I always had a nagging doubt
of the fables they handed out.
Let’s take that revered old St. Nick,
who was a consumerist trick.
designed for making people spend
what they can’t afford in the end.
All our parents seemed to buy it;
most children didn’t deny it.
So all kinds of garbage is sold
for prices inflated twofold.
But i always demanded proof
that there were reindeer on the roof.
