Across the Event Horizon

Time marches–inexorable.

Thoughts of the end are horrible.

But, time doesn't come to a stop

and the big bang is just a pop.

When eternity interferes

there is a ringing in our ears.

We can't stop what never began

and would not want to if we can.

“Quantum entanglement” they say

“won't let us do it anyway.”

When particles are far apart

they are synchronized in their heart.

Everything works together

and time marches on forever.
