Sounds in the Dark
I am addicted to prophetic verse.
What is possibly even worse,
i find that some of it is true
and try to pass it on to you.
Certainly when the prophesy
agrees with my philosophy,
i feel no reason to doubt it
and keep on writing about it.
I talk about spirits and ghosts
but don’t think they’re heavenly hosts.
I think they live with us, right here
and are not something we should fear.
The clanking chains and wolf-like howls
are just nighthawks talking to owls.
