One Sunny Day
To say that the sun is shining
means that the damned thing is on fire.
On what are the flames dining?
I am hesitant to enquire.
Hydrogen and helium burn
as matter becomes energy.
The sun is all of these we learn
but its life is a mystery.
Big bang–everything explodes.
Did all of this happen at once?
No. I think it only erodes
but on the fourth down it just punts.
I always thank god it is there.
Other than that, i do not care.
