It Is My Job
Is it by luck i am doomed to preach
to unbelievers i can’t reach?
Was this job intended for me
by some unknown divinity?
If i have some talent for rhyme,
it requires work most of the time.
Somewhere from a pool of wisdom
i make simple thoughts like this come.
Why do i feel compelled to do
what may be annoying to you?
It is my job, it seems to me,
and if i don’t i feel guilty.
So, don’t blame God if you are bored;
your sanity can be restored.
