In Love with Now

After he lifted his ego

from the ugly dregs of despair

he found a self he didn’t know

and found elves and gremlins were there.

Taking life too seriously

had isolated him from love.

The prospect of eternity

he had become despondent of.

Now he has an expectation

to know eternity is now

without any expiration

and it always exists somehow.

Elves are angels in disguise

and gremlins unusually wise.
