I Keep Writing Because

As i’m writing i discover

phrases which rhyme with each other;

syllables of the same amount

which i don’t really have to count.

But, i also would think it nice

to make the poems more concise.

I know just what i want to say

but it’s difficult to convey.

Oh, i am prolific enough,

in fact, i‘m writing too much stuff,

but can my readers understand

the messages, as i have planned?

I have an upbeat attitude.

All i lack is the aptitude.
