Fantasy in a Similar World
When we slip into unconscious,
where have we really gone?
Most of us sleepers have done this;
does self-consciousness carry on?
In dreams, are you often aware
there is another world out there?
Are dreams the whole reality
or death a real fatality?
Are dreams like death–does it matter?
You know you will wake up after.
Often my dreams can seem so true
it is important what i do.
After you wake up, does it seem
you are still living in a dream?



Does a title sometimes
come nosing into your mind
when there is nothing
you are planning to write about?
Well, the title to the sonnet above
came strolling in all alone.
I wrote down the title
and the sonnet then wrote itself.
I was listening to the music
of “Star Wars” by John Williams;
deeply into the beautiful orchestration,
when this title came out of the blue.
Is night sky black, or navy blue?
I could make this a poem too.
