Unwarranted Capitals
Perhaps i am a slave to syntax;
something many a poet lacks.
Yes, i do adhere to some rules
because i find them useful tools.
I abjure a useless habit
but embrace a talking rabbit.
I accept nonsense, but i say,
“Throw useless capitals away.
Proper names i capitalize
but interruptions i despise.
Beginning every line with one
keeps a poem from being fun.
Such interruptions are a flaw.
I think there ought to be a law.
