To Never Look Back
How could he wander through a dark hell
and come out with a story to tell?
Because he has refused to look back
when the road ahead seems to be black.
No matter how bleak the future seems
it is where his soul can be redeemed.
A new life of redemption begins
when we reject temptations and sins.
Our past sins can never be erased
until culpability is faced.
By keeping his eye upon the goal
he can finally redeem his soul.
But he keeps hearing footsteps behind
Trying to cause him to change his mind.
