To Hell with the Devil
I get an occasional glimpse
of elves in my psyche, like imps.
Mischievous as these things may be,
they are a major part of me.
These gremlins have to share the blame
for my seeming to have no shame.
If ever ashamed of myself,
i can condemn a hidden elf.
The names for these creatures varies;
witches, imps, and woodland fairies.
When the devil made me do it
i also add satan to it.
Some parts of me i may reject
in order to have self respect.
