It’s My Job
Those people who say “God is dead”
could have had better gods instead.
Intangible gods are around.
If you seek, they are easily found.
These gods seem to be on my side,
so i’m having an easy ride.
Why do i keep bringing them up?
My holy grail is not a cup
and i have come to realize
that nothing but the body dies.
Our spirits live in eternity.
There must be a purpose for me.
Perhaps my job is to speak out
and say what life is all about.
