It Is the Trashy People
The trash which covered the road to the beach
makes the blue ocean seem out of reach.
The public beach is trashy because
of ridiculous democratic laws.
Beaches which are public are no fun
because they belong to everyone.
Without any responsibility
they’re overrun because they are free.
Should they be reserved for the wealthy
who pay to keep them clean and healthy?
They might all be beautiful some day
when any who use them have to pay.
But now the beaches are like a sewer
and the people who use them are fewer.
