Facts I Can’t Imagine
I thought i saw a tiny bird
but it was a big voice i heard.
Some things never seem to compute
like hoot owls refusing to hoot.
I can google the internet
and marvel at answers i get.
Of all the things google can do
it never excites me like you.
It is a machine, in the end
but you are a flesh and blood friend.
That is the trouble with machines,
they’re not alive by any means.
They cannot reproduce themselves
like some imaginary elves.
