By Chance, a Smarty Pants
The “eminent poet of our time”
has no meaning and he doesn’t rhyme.
Most of our poetry teachers
seem to have similar features.
Most traditional poets had
some habits i consider bad.
Beginning all lines with a cap
is certainly a bunch of crap.
That doesn’t let the poem flow,
every line is stop and go.
Perhaps there is no one but me
who sees this as a travesty.
They are better poets than i.
Since i am so smart, tell me why.
