Breathing Easy
I’m not going to hold my breath
afraid of my ultimate death.
Until my body is undone
i intend to have lots of fun.
How long will self-consciousness last
is something which we can’t forecast.
Now is all that really exists
according to the physicists.
The past has gone–future ain’t here
and may not have time to appear.
But, is fun really happiness?
It is only part of it i guess.
It may be the part we like best
but i will welcome all the rest.
