A whimper or a Pop
Are gates of heaven made of gold
like other fables we are told?
Can we human beings get in
despite our tendency to sin?
Why does anyone want to know
what makes the gates of heaven glow?
Many questions and few answers
with halos on all the dancers.
There isn’t a heaven or hell
which all of us know very well.
So where will dead atheists live
without any gods to forgive?
The devil is in the details
and that is where the big bang fails.
