what is the point?
if you don’t know what aglets are,
a word not too familiar,
and you would like to know, perchance,
i can relieve your ignorance.
on the ends of shoe laces sit
a pressed metal sort of a tit,
making it easier to fit
the shoe lace through the eye of it.
whenever aglets disappear
we could be in trouble i fear.
we have to use a little spit
to try to put a point on it.
it could be very frustrating;
perhaps even aggravating.
