What Color Is Buff?
My daughter’s first dog was named Buff
which seemed appropriate enough
because that’s what his color was
and that’s what a dogs color does.
He was only a small dog though
not nick named for a buffalo.
He lost one of his legs somehow;
perhaps in a fight with a cow.
Adopting an old bachelor
who had become a nearby neighbor
he decided to move over there
where they became a lifetime pair.
Whatever became of them
my daughter has forgotten him.
