Rebels With A Cause
Why are there heretics like me?
Do we lack sociability?
We believe it is somehow wrong
to go along to get along.
We will defy the lynching mob;
judging others is not our job.
Just going along with the crowd
is not ethically allowed.
Some people contend we are fools
defying conventional rules
but we can hear an inner voice
whose words will not give us a choice.
If we are to ourselves be true
we must do what we have to do.
