Manipulated Memories
The way our memories are wrapped
is like a photograph that’s snapped.
A moment in which time was stopped
and how the picture has been cropped.
We remove irrelevant things
while forgetting some happenings.
Memory is a false picture
and history is a mixture
of truth and how it should have been;
a play which we were actors in.
So the more we think about it
the more we’re inclined to doubt it.
Memories which are based on lies
may be true stories in disguise.
