Cosmopolitan Polyglot
All around the universe
an irreversible torque
was echoing like a curse;
particularly in New York.
This cosmopolitan sound
has a very strange accent.
A polyglot which i found
most everywhere i went.
A salad bowl of races
like a tall tower of babble
in unfamiliar places
like a game of Chinese scrabble.
And yet, they can communicate;
or sometimes even cooperate.
