The Indifference of Love
My close encounters with god
occur before i go to sleep.
I come to give my gratitude
and refurbish my attitude.
From prayer into peaceful sleep
is an instantaneous leap.
I have had a conversation
which is like an explanation.
There is a cosmic intellect
with universes to direct
who takes the time to talk to me
as a part of his family.
This intangible god of mine
is indifferent and benign.
