A Dart to the Heart
When a poem is translated
it is sometimes explicated.
That means that the meaning may be
carried across accurately.
Perhaps the translator may miss
deeper feelings if he does this.
A poem may not have to mean.
Sometimes it is only a paean.
Maybe it is only a song
where the explication is wrong;
a feeling of exultation,
a cry of exhilaration
where even the rhyme and rhythm
may not be apparent with’em.
