The Immortal Truth
Can any of us respond
from the river Styx and beyond?
In my dreams i see Louise–
can i have more of these–please?
Somewhere on the other side
there are people who have died.
They live in eternity
but don’t talk to you and me.
Some of us may think that they
have much wisdom they could convey.
If this idea is true,
what can we look forward to?
Perhaps we should realize
dying will not make us wise.
