I’druther Not
What necessity makes me write;
and what makes me think that i might
share my simple thoughts with others?
Where does this stand in my druthers?
I’druther write than fall asleep,
dispense with thoughts i cannot keep,
and i’druther write than read,
which is my secondary need.
The more i read the more i doubt
i know what i’m talking about.
Sometimes i don’t know which is worse,
my editorials or verse.
If my rhymes are such a bad thing,
you ought to hear me when i sing.
