I Suppose I Am Weird
All of us are different some ways
like actors in our own short plays.
I seem to be stranger than most;
being a spirit like a ghost.
     People all around me admire
a strange, ridiculous satire;
operettas and TV shows
while my own irritation grows.
     Painted people with loud voices
making ridiculous choices
and laughing together out loud
as if an orchestrated crowd.
     I prefer something which makes sense
or which can hold me in suspense.
