Never Look Back
The past is never orderly
because of faulty memory.
Write it in indelible ink
never saying, “that’s what i think.”
There is no perfect history
which depends upon memory
and even written it may be
mistaken to some degree.
Remember that the past is gone
and we will have to carry on
without having all of the facts.
Live in the present and relax.
There’s a future around the bend
but history is a dead end.
